Summary • VI Enterprise adds significant new functionality and remains the gold standard for virtual infrastructure • ESX Server 3 and ESX Server 3i can be used interchangeably in the VI suites • Standalone version of ESX Server 3i can only be used for single server partitioning • New bundles make it attractive to use VMware Infrastructure for specific types of deployments such as for availability or for a remote/branch office
