  1. Plumbing: A Trade with Flowing Benefits Learn why becoming a plumber could be a benefit to your life Water is an important part of daily life. We don’t understand how important it is to have routine checkups on our water systems. Our water systems can get backed up, and those blockages can cause even more damage. These damages can lead to having to hire contractors for repairs caused by water damage and ultimately having unsafe water for your family to drink. Plumbers are professionals who have the experience needed to fix your water problems. Professional plumbers are licensed which means they have studied and been tested. Apprenticeships have been completed, and they are ready to help others to have a fully functioning system with safe water. Plumbers are one of the highest paid professionals, alongside electricians, in the field. Pay usually begins at $20.00 to $30.00 per hour. This pay scale can reach up to $40.00 per hour. Along with being well paid there are significant benefits that come along with the work. Employers are known to give their employees good benefits, or they may find a spot in a union. Plumbers usually don’t have the economic problems of their white-collar counterparts. Often those issues affecting white-collar workers don’t affect the trades. Plumbers can always count on their work never getting boring. They never know what they will encounter when entering in to complete a job. The repairs needed could range from a leaky water pipe to digging up septic tanks. Plumbers usually don’t stay in one place for long either. Because of this, they meet people from all walks of life. Meeting new people means new contacts are being made. These new contacts could mean more revenue for their business.

  2. Plumbers often start their own businesses. By starting their own business, plumbers have full control of your financial life. You can choose to work as much or as little as you want. Having time to take that vacation you wish to or spend extra time with your family is all in your hands. You are in control of your business, employees, and bank account. Plumbers are providing a service which helps people, and that leads to job satisfaction. You will have a sense of well- being in your soul because you have chosen a trade that allows you to take time when you need it. Becoming a plumber is a decision you may not regret. If you want job security, then plumbing is a trade to discover. Many plumbers are retiring leaving plenty of room for young plumbers to get started in a rewarding business. Plumbing is not just about fixing leaks. It’s about helping people to have safe water to drink and live in their homes with confidence all is well in the pipes below.
