I. Joseph took care of the body of Jesus (57-59). • He was a good and upright man. • Prominent member of the Sanhedrin • Waiting for the kingdom of God • He had become a disciple of Jesus. • Secretly because he feared the Jews • Accompanied by Nicodemus

II. Joseph placed the body in his own personal tomb (60) • He had his own tomb that he had cut out of the rock. • Much like a cave • No one else had been lain there • He prepared the body for burial. • Wrapped the body with strips of linen • Covered the body with myrrh and spices

Joseph got his tomb back on Resurrection morning (1-3) • The women anticipated preparing the body further. • Brought spices that they had prepared • Wondered who would move the stone • They found the stone moved away. • Entered the tomb, alarmed by the angel • Assumed someone had moved the body
