Established and Our Purpose The SUAS Laboratory was established in November 2003 with direction, support, and funding from the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Project Office Our primary mission is to provide quick technical solutions in response to problems identified with the operational use of the Raven System. Our secondary mission is to Lead the SUAS Research and Development Efforts and SUAS Technology Integration Needs for the UAS Project Office.

  3. Flight Assets provided by the UAS PO The SUAS Lab stores, maintains, and operates the UAS Project Office’s Raven A, A/B, and B FRP System and a Pointer System; the Systems are utilized for testing both in the Lab and In- flight.

  4. Flight Operations SUAS Lab personnel are Qualified to Operate Raven A, Raven B, and Pointer System Qualified to Instruct Capable of Conducting Flight Operations and Flight Test Raven Night operations conducted to support the 82nd Airborne during an operational exercise Flight demonstration for BG Davis-Commander of the Joint Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center of Excellence

  5. Engineering Design and Manufacturing Capabilities The SUAS Lab can design and fabricate flight components as well as subcomponents for MAV, SUAS, and Medium UAS. Mold design & fabrication and Composite Parts fabrication Foam Part design & fabrication and Vacuum Bagging We can also design and fabricate test equipment for subcomponent evaluation.   7. Summary The SUAS Laboratory has a proven record of meeting the needs of the US Army SUAS Program and the US Army Soldier, in a timely and effective manner.
