This study aims to explore strategies for developing emotional intelligence (EI) in secondary school English classes to raise students' self-awareness. It investigates the importance of EI in the classroom and explores the situation in a secondary school regarding emotional intelligence and self-awareness among students. The study includes observations, questionnaires, and the implementation of strategies within English lessons. The results show that integrated learning and emotional learning contribute to the growth of self-awareness, and tasks and activities can easily be adapted into English lessons.
