  2. Process/Product Evaluation • Purpose: To see if each student can use both the American and Fork grip to throw the javelin for distance. The boys had to throw at least 40 feet and the girls had to throw 30 feet. • Equipment Needed: 1 Javelin 6 Cones Measuring tape Marking tape

  3. Grading • Each student was given three attempts using each grip. The student must throw the javelin past their required distance within the sector to pass the test. • We instructed the students after each throw to make sure their grip was correct. Then, we watched the javelin as they threw to make sure they did not step over the foul line, and to make sure the javelin landed within the sector. • If the student did not complete the task on the first attempt, we did not penalize them for it. • A-100 B-0 C-0 D-0 F-0

  7. Bonus • Zach B and RaLeigh were given 5 bonus points for being the male and female to throw the javelin the furthest.

  8. Problems with Skills test • The 29 degree sector was not properly marked. • We did not have a measuring tape to measure each individual throw • There was not enough time for everyone to complete throws using both grips, so they could not receive the points for that throw, resulting in the lower grades.
