The furnace and mold are connected through a channel called a sprue.  Solidification of aluminum – The mold cavity is filled with liquid aluminum fully. It is then allowed to cool down and solidify. It takes some time. After solidification, aluminum gets the shape of the mold and the desired product is formed.  Release of the product – The mold is now opened to collect the casting product. There may be excess metal inside the mold which is collected for reuse.  Final touch – The product may need some final shaping, metalizing, or polishing as per the requirement of the client.
