  2. Research aim and objectives • Understand how adults make career decisions & typology • To explore: • sources of careers information and advice • how individuals use information, advice and guidance in making career decisions • other factors influencing career decision-making

Key Findings • How adults make career decisions is influenced by their circumstances, opportunities and constraints. • We identified 5 approaches to career decision-making • Family and friends an important source of support for work and learning decisions • Most people do not access professional career guidance support.
