TODAY’s Goals Title I Support Grant (1 year grant) • Review subgroups/core content areas that did not meet AMOs • Target activities that directly impact those subgroups/ grade levels/content area weaknesses Regular Title I Project • 3 meetings required annually for Regular Title 1 • Review Title I Initiatives – Past and Present (SRP) • Recognize measured achievements in 2013-14 (ESEA) • Reflect on 2013-14 • Plan activities for 2014-15

Changes to School Title I Plan • Discuss Budget Priorities for Title 1 Support • 1 year grant • Supplemental activities • Changes to budgets • See T1 Project Reform Strategies & Account #s (handout) • Bookkeepers and Project Managers will meet monthly to review expenditures (print detail account inquiry reports from CSI) • Completed Purchasing Card Authorization Form and Activity Report Form (sections 1 & 2) submitted prior to purchasing • KEEP IN MIND: 1. P-card expenditures do not post immediately 2. DO NOT OVERSPEND!

  9. Title 1 Activity Form • Required for each Title 1 activity (accompanied by the Pcard Authorization Form) • Covers pre-approval to evaluation of activities • Sections on form and language used to complete form align with strategies in your online application • Review SAMPLE Forms

Purchasing Card Authorization Form • Completed form is submitted and approved prior to making purchases (accompanied with the Activity Report Form) • Copies of all invoices/receipts are submitted within 5 days of purchase • Included on form: • Name of person making the purchase • Last 4 digits of card number • Estimated cost of purchase • Authorizing signature(s) • Account numbers • Vendor & Purpose

Input from PARENTS • Parent Survey results – 1520 surveys returned TOPICS generating the most interest for parents: • #1 – Motivating children • #2 – Helping children with homework • #3 – Family fitness and health • #4 – Managing children’s behavior SERVICES Requested • #1 – After school program • #2 – Online tutoring or enrichment for home use • #3 – Homework Hotline • #4 – Parent Calendars

Input from PARENTS • Parent Survey • 93.29% support more spending on Interventionists in Reading, Math, and Science • 88.4% support After-School (Day Care) and Summer School Programs • 82.38% support class size reduction • 82.29% support spending for FREE books • 81.57% support spending for summer programs

  16. 14-15 Program Manager Responsibilities • Assistant Principal • District TOP Team Member • Monitor Title 1 expenditures Document monthly meetings with principal and bookkeeper • Parent Involvement and activities documentation Minutes, sign in sheets, agendas • Homeless & Migrant Liaison • Title 1 Staff Development • Complete the Activity Report Form (sections 3-4) for all Title 1 expenditures when activities end (submit within 10 days of completion)
