  1. Reviewing for Geometry Test We created a chalk drawing gallery to help us remember the concepts we learned during our study of Geometry! These pictures will certainly help us remember important information!

  2. Talking about using Nets to find Surface Area of 3-dimensional shapes!

  3. Finding Volume is easy! V = lwh How much stuff can we pack inside a box?

  4. Remember the formulas for finding Area of rectangles, triangles, trapezoids, and parallelograms! Formula! Substitute! Solve!

  5. Triangles are ½ of rectangles!

  6. Remembering everything we learned is a challenge! But, With careful notes and practice we can do it!

  7. Stuff to Remember! • Area of a Rectangle = (base)(height)= bh • Area of a triangle = ½ (base)(height) = ½ bh • Area of a parallelogram = (base)(height) = bh • Area of a trapezoid = ½ (height)(base + base) = ½ h(b + b) • Surface Area = find the area of each face of the shape and add the areas together! • Sometimes drawing a net helps to find the surface area! • Volume = (length)(height)(width) = lwh • Graphing points = (x,y), remember there are 4 quadrants! • Use the absolute value to find the distance between points. If the points are in different quadrants add! If the points are in the same quadrant subtract!
