Enhancing OpenClinic Software Adoption Among Health Professionals at CHUK: A Preliminary Survey

This study presents a preliminary survey conducted at Centre Hospitalo-Universitaire de Kamenge (CHUK) on the utilization and appreciation of the patient data and laboratory results transfer platform, OpenClinic software, by health staff. The self-administered questionnaire was distributed from October 5th to 20th, 2018, with data analyzed using Microsoft Office Excel. Results indicated that OpenClinic is underutilized and not well appreciated by most health professionals at CHUK. The study recommends promoting OpenClinic through training, updating the software, and providing skilled technical support. The findings emphasize the importance of enhancing awareness and proficiency in utilizing OpenClinic to improve healthcare services. Acknowledgments are extended to all participants, the East African Health and Scientific Conference for the opportunity to share experiences, and the audience for their attention during the presentation.
