Ir Ir is almost always followed by “a” Ejemplos: Yovoy a la cafetería Nosotrosvamos a la escuela Tú vas a la casa.
Using it in a question • We can use “adónde” and “dónde” with ir. Adónde means “to where” but “dónde” simply means where. Ejemplos: Adónde vas, Isabel? Adóndeva, Ricardo? We will normally use “adónde” with ir.

A + el “A” must follow the verb “ir” however, if “el” is placed after “a” we have to combine the two. a + el = al (happiness) A + el are happy when they are married! Be sure to marry them when they are next to each other! Ejemplo: Yovoy a el auditorio -----WRONG Yovoy al auditorio --- CORRECT!
