The Servant? • A person of great love to God and to others, who receives God’s love and conveys it to others. • A real follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, resides where Christ is and abides in Christ. (has an intimate relationship to God) • An example of humbleness • A fisher, a builder and a farmer, a servant is a hard worker for God • Has The Mind of Christ, Looks out for the interest of others • Fervent in spirit. • Committed to the service • A disciple (A student)

  4. What Kind of Love should I have as a servant?

What Kind of Love? • John 21:15-17 •    15 فبعدما تغدوا قال يسوع لسمعان بطرس يا سمعان بن يونا اتحبني اكثر من هؤلاء.قال له نعم يا رب انت تعلم اني احبك.قال له ارع خرافي. • “Simon, son of Jonah,[b] do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” • Love God

  6. What Kind of Love? • Mathew 25:40 • الحق اقول لكم بما انكم فعلتموه باحد اخوتي هؤلاء الاصاغر فبي فعلتم‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ • Love those whom we serve the same way we love God.

What Kind of Love? • 1 Corinthians 14:12 • 12 هكذا انتم ايضا اذ انكم غيورون للمواهب الروحية اطلبوا لاجل بنيان الكنيسة ان تزدادوا. • 12 Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel. • Love the church the body of Christ

  9. Why does it (Love) have to come first?

Love comes first • 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3 •   1 ان كنت اتكلم بالسنة الناس والملائكة ولكن ليس لي محبة فقد صرت نحاسا يطن او صنجا يرن. 1 • Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. • What does this mean for a servant?

Love comes first • 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3 •   2 وان كانت لي نبوة واعلم جميع الاسرار وكل علم وان كان لي كل الايمان حتى انقل الجبال ولكن ليس لي محبة فلست شيئا. • 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. • What does this mean for a servant?

Love comes first • 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3 •   3 وان اطعمت كل اموالي وان سلمت جسدي حتى احترق ولكن ليس لي محبة فلا انتفع شيئا. • 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing • What does this mean for a servant?

  13. Love comes first • Talents, gifts (tongues, prophecies, knowing mysteries), faith, giving to the poor and even giving my body to be burnet without love become a kind of show off, pride and self praise and will mean nothing.

  21. What is Love? • 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 • 6 ولا تفرح بالاثم بل تفرح بالحق • 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; • Servants’ Application?

  24. What is Love? • 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 • 8 المحبة لا تسقط ابدا.واما النبوات فستبطل والالسنة فستنتهي والعلم فسيبطل. • 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
