  10. What has been learned? • Importance of a vision and leadership • Always have your contacts • A community assessment enables collaborative partners to gather information about the strengths, concerns, and conditions of children, families, and the community.  • Techniques for gathering assessment information : focus groups, community forums, interviews and surveys, and action research • Small-group approach helps families feel comfortable sharing their concerns.

  11. Challenges in the project • Finding a male single parent to show a balance of single parenting • Women's Action Group Meetings are held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 6:00pm of each month, but no one to accompany the group.

  12. Outstanding areas thus far • Cohesiveness of the group and the participation of its members. • Participation and co-operation of our target group. • Blog Spot Updates • Progress in the compilation of the project - Adequate photos and audio

  13. Future plans to complete the project • Leads back to our challenges • Getting access to a male single parent • Visit the Action group meeting to which we were invited to. • Plans are to revisit the community one more time to contact these persons to complete the project.
