  3. Oakland Catholic lacrosse beat   Seton LaSalle last night 10-9.Katie Kush led the team with 3 goals and 2 assists. Maggie Doyle had 2 goals and one assist. Taylor Lewand and Mary Obrien each scored 2 a piece, and Caroline rounded out scoring with 1 goal. Kyra Farrell led the team between the pipes with 14 saves.Way to go Oakland!

  4. The crew team has an 11:00 early release today!

  5. After getting to meet Pittsburgh Penguin players: Beau Bennett and Robert Bortuzzo the OC Ultimate team defeated Obama with a score of 15-2 in our first round playoff game.   • Margret Price was the offensive player of the game and Amy Buck was the defensive player of the game. Good luck next in the next round!

  7. Attention all students: Advanced Placement exams are being administered in the Lecture Hall. The hallway and bathrooms outside of the lecture hall will be closed from 7:45 to 11:30. If your locker is located in this area, please collect all belongings necessary through 3rd period before you report to homeroom. Only students with a locker in this area will be allowed into the hallway at the beginning of 4th period to switch books and get lunch if necessary. The hallway will be open to all students after 11:30.

Congratulations, Mia Fratto • Mia has received a full scholarship to be a member of the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Engineering and Technology at Lehigh University. • She was one of 50 students accepted from the entire state of Pennsylvania. She will be there for 2 weeks this summer under the instruction of Lehigh professors

  12. Congratulations, Eva Lucchino!  Winner of the High School Summer Biomedical Science Internship Program in Research at Magee-Womens Hospital This is a highly competitive program based on academic criteria and less than 10 percent of the students who apply are chosen.

Taylor McCorkle has been named " Athlete of the Week" by the Pittsburgh Tribune. • Taylor had been named MVP at both the South Fayette Invitational and the • Pine-Richland Invitational last week.  • Her accomplishments will appear in the Trib either today or tomorrow.  • Congratulations Taylor, it's a great honor for you and Oakland Catholic.
