  1. Mr. Newton’s Geometry 2012-2013 NetLogo Programming Program 1: Coordinate Geometry - Day 1

  2. Get ready to work: Step 1: Getting Started Login: thslibstu Password: Password! Go to Mr. Newton’s Website → NetLogo for Geometry Step 2: Click here:

  3. Task 1 Construct a line that contains the points A ( 1, 3 ) and B ( 4, 6). Make sure to use the Line tool!

  4. Task 2 Construct a line that contains the points C ( -3, -5 ) and E ( 4, 0). Label the points. Remember to label everything! Check on your neighbor!

  5. Task 3 Construct a line that contains the points F ( 2, 7 ) and G ( 0, 0). Construct another line that contains H (0, 0) and L ( -3, -7). Label all of the points. Remember to label everything! Check on your neighbor!

  6. Task 4 Construct a line segment that has endpoints M ( 1, -9 ) and N ( 0, 7). Label all of the points. Make sure you’re using the correct object and you label!

  7. Task 5 Construct a ray: R ( 2, 5 ) S ( -7, -5) Label all of the points. Be careful and make sure your drawing matches the notation!

  8. Task 6 Construct a ray: X ( 0, 0 ) W ( 6, -5) Construct another ray: Z ( 2, 4 ) Label all of the points. These angles are sharing an initial point!

  9. Task 7 Make a hexagon ABCDEF using 6 segments on the coordinate plane. Label all of the points. How many sides does a hexagon have?

  10. Task 8 Make an acute angle. Make a right angle. Make an obtuse angle. Each angle is made from 2 rays. You’ll need 6 rays!

  11. Task 9 Label the origin. In quadrant 1 draw a triangle. In quadrant 2 draw a quadrilateral. In quadrant 3 draw a pentagon. In quadrant 4 draw a smiley face. Ask your neighbors which quadrants are which!
