Ron Eakes, owner of Mid Plains Construction Plains KS, was born in western part of Kansas, which is also called Sunflower State or Wheat State of the US. He lived in a farm house along with his ten siblings. He joined South Western Heights School, Kansas for his initial education and graduated from the school in 1977. Later on, he joined Dodge City Community College for a degree program.

He lived in a farm house along with his ten siblings. He joined South Western Heights School, Kansas for his initial education and graduated from the school in 1977. Later on, he joined Dodge City Community College for a degree program. This is a public and co-educational college in Dodge city and was established in 1935. The college is popularly known as DC3 or DCCC and the students participate in various sports activities. The college offers associate degrees in applied science, arts and nursing and other educational streams. Ron Eakes attended Dale Carnegie Course for personal grooming and inculcating salesmanship, public speaking and leadership skills. He started his own construction company called Mid Plains Construction Plains KS in 1979. This is one of the most successful construction company in Kansas these days. He has around 70 employees who are working under his able guidance. Along with Mid Plains Construction Plains KS, he also owns three ready mix plants and has a partnership in two large scale dairies.
Mid Plains Construction Plains KS is successfully delivering extensive construction services from the last 33 years. Their major services are building Caissons and Pilings, Handicap ramps, Parking lots and Driveways, etc. The company provides various services to commercial, residential, hog, and dairy clients. He received a Certificate of Achievement in building construction and was listed in National Register of Who’s Who in executives and Professionals.
Along with being successful businessman, Ron Eakes is quite social also. He is involved in various local charities and community organizations. Some of these charities and organizations are American Cancer Society, Kansas peace officers, Save the Children, Children’s Miracle Network, Knights of Columbus, Special Olympics, Church Council, County Economic Organization. He has exceptionally contributed towards Lion's club and local school board.
On the personal front, Ron Eakes is married and has three children. He spends most of his free time by playing golf and traveling.
