  2. What is Hygiene? • Hygiene refers to conditions and practices that help to maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases.

  3. Good personal hygiene habits include: • Washing the body often. If possible, everybody should have a shower or a bath every day.

  4. Cleaning the teeth at least once a dayby brushing and flossing.

  5. Turning away from other people and covering the nose and mouth with a tissue or the hand when coughing or sneezing.

  6. Washing the hair with soap or shampoo at least once a week.

  7. Washing hands with soap after going to the toilet and before preparing and/or eating food.

  8. How to Wash Your Hands

  9. Changing into clean clothes. Dirty clothes should be washed with laundry soap before wearing them again.

  10. By following these simple steps each of us can contribute to a healthier and safer environment for ourselves and future generations.
