  2. HOW TO BECOME AN AGENT OF REVIVAL– 1 Kings 18:41-46 The Lord is building redeemed aspirants to become revival agents!

  3. KEY THOUGHTThe greatest joy of a believer is the sense of being useful and fruitful. Becoming an agent of revival means God uses you to turn the spiritual climate or situation of others around. Through your words and actions, others receive light, hope and power to rise up and live for God. There is nothing more rewarding than this!

THE CONCRETE FRUITS OF A REVIVAL AGENT What do we see in a revival agent? • Bringing deliverance for others: Gen 19:29 • Helping others to increase: Gen 30:25-30 • Making others to prosper: Gen 39:2-5 • Turning backsliders home: I Kgs 18:38,39 • Inspiring others to serve: Neh 2:17,18 • Witnessing far and wide: Acts 1:8 • Bringing many to Jesus: Acts 11:19-24 • Helping others’ faith: Acts 18:27,28 • Giving hope to others: Acts 27:33-36 • Outreach beyond own location: 1 Thes 1:8 A revival agent makes a visible and measurable impact. The result is what everyone can see!

THE CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF A REVIVAL AGENT How can you become a revival agent? • Intercessory prayer: Gen 18:20,21ff • Honesty and diligence: Gen 31:38-40 • Retaining God’s presence: Gen 39:2,3,7-9 • Being jealous for God’s glory: I Kgs 18:36,37 • Personal consecration: Neh 1:1-4; 2:1-5 • Focus on divine power: Acts 1:6-8 • Attracting the hand of God: Acts 11:21,24 • Commitment to learning: Acts 18:24-26 • Closeness to God: Acts 27:21-24 • Consistent Christian living: 1 Thes 1:2-7 You can be a revival agent no matter your age or position in the Church. It is a personal choice! “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” – James 5:1,18
