  2. The intent of the construction of the Cajon Tunnel for the Electrified Railroad This tunnel construction will reduce the incline grade to 1.03% and reduce the elevation climb by 961 feet. The electrification will encompass the territory from Barstow to Long Beach. Regenerative braking will be incorporated. In addition we will be able to transport water at the base of the tunnel. In addition we also will incorporate the high voltage electrical (shielded) transmission power through the tunnel segments (500K>), this will reduce the visual impact of the above ground transmission lines. Also note: We, the railroads may be able to provide the right off way for the electrical power transmission network. Moneys earned from such deriving will be used to further the infrastructure improvements of the rail network.
