Homework Policy • Homework is an important part of what we do in school each day, providing reinforcement of concepts and feedback for the teacher. • Homework is expected to be completed and turned in on time. • If homework is not completed and turned in on time:
Consequences: • Student receives a “Homework Alert” and misses recess for that day (if given after that day’s recess is over, then the following day’s recess is missed) • Student fills out name, date, subject, and missed assignment(s) on “Homework Alert” • Assignment is attached to “Homework Alert” and it is to be taken home and returned the next school day • Both the assignment and the “Homework Alert” are to be returned the next school day and the “Homework Alert” is to be signed by a parent or guardian • One detention point is earned for the following: • Homework is not returned • “Homework Alert” is not returned • “Homework Alert” is returned, but not signed OR is signed by an unauthorized person
