Notes should be clearly • CHAPTER TITLES and DATE written clearly at the top • STYLE: clearly title this section and jot down observations (with passage/page references or examples) or the strategies O’Brien uses—choices he makes about how he tells these stories • IDEAS: clearly title this section and include notes on what you see as the theme or important ideas within the story. • QUESTIONS: Ask at least three questions that arise from your reading of this section. Try to mix in both analytical and essential questions.
