Opportunities at COC Below is a list of the different programs you may choose to complete. The college encourages you to meet with a counselor to discuss your academic/career goals and develop your student educational plan. • Transfer Programs • 60 transferable lower units (100 & 200 level) • General education (IGETC or CSU GE) + major preparation and Electives • www.assist.org for UC/CSU major preparation requirements • Leads to admissions to a four-year college/university • Various major and GPA requirements for highly selective majors • Associate Degree Programs • 60 units or more based on major • General Education + Major and Electives • 2.0 GPA and Good Standing Academically • Leads to employment and/or transfer • Is not required for transfer, but can be a supplement to your resume. • Review the Majors summary for choices in the AA/AS • Certificate Programs • 7-36 units of field specific coursework • Job skills development • Leads to employment, AA degree and/or transfer • Basic Skills Training • Pre-100 Level Courses - Strengthen reading/writing and critical thinking skills • Leads to employment, certificate, AA, and/or transfer • S4S and Reentry Skills Workshops Drio 08/01/11
