  2. Document Status • Version (-02) has got sufficient and dense review by Kevin Gross and Varun Singh after Paris meeting • Version (-03) as basis Enter into WGLC in June 11 together with Discard RLE draft • Two updates (-04) (-05) were issued to address the comments during WGLC. • Reordering the discard type • Clarify how to report combination of 3 discard types • Many thanks to the reviewers • Varun Singh, Alan Clark, Shida Schubert, Romascanu, Dan • Claire Bi(jiayu) • This draft support reporting the number of packets discards in four cases • Underflow in one report interval • Overflow in one report interval • Both underflow and overflow in one interval • Duplication packets discards • One open issue remains. XRBLOCK IETF 84 Vancouver

  3. Issue # Duplication Packets discards • It is agreed that the packet discarded due to duplication is regarded as one discard type. • The consensus is to report duplication packets discard separately. • The current draft allocate DT =0 to this discard type. • Alan proposed on the list to add some background to explain the cause of duplication packets discards. • Proposal: • Add one statement at the end of the definition of Discard Type as follows: • Note that duplicating RTP packets using RTP replication may lead to breakage of RTP media streams or RTCP rules. In order not to disrupt all the RTCP statistics, it is recommended to duplicate RTP packets as described in draft-ietf-avtext-rtp-duplication-00 which will not cause breakage. • Put draft-ietf-avtext-rtp-duplication-00 as informative reference. XRBLOCK IETF 84 Vancouver

  4. Follow Up • Address the open issue by issuing new version. • One more WGLC? XRBLOCK IETF 84 Vancouver
