  5. The history of pi • The first calculation of pi was made by: Archimedes he rounded it up to 3.1605, the theorem was to find the area of two normal polygons with a circle in it. Then, ZuChongzhi had almost the same approach. He calculated the diameter to circumference is 355/113. William Jones made the pi sign famous, so that is the reason there is pi.

  7. Things you do to learn pi There are very different ways to learn about pi. The first way to learn pi is you can play games to find out what the circumference is of a tire and other circles for fake money, then they could “buy” something from a “store” you put together.

  8. Some of the uses of pi • Pi is used to find the circumference of a circle, (this is the formula) : D * Pi or Pi multiplied by the diameter = circumference. Pi can also help find the diameter too if you know the circumference. The formula for that is C / pi or circumference divided by pi = diameter.
