ICTs at our institution • Fully-equipped computer classrooms within each school. • 170 PC’s • broadband internet connection • Learners use computers at least once a week, mainly basic word processing and internet. • Main weakness: Limited use of computers by teaching staff: • 50% find it really hard to create e-mail document attachments. • 90% know how to insert a picture into a text document. • Only 10% use computers to create teaching materials.

  16. Immigrants-native learners • Very small immigrant population in our region • No racial discrimination has ever been reported • Poor knowledge of the other party • There are hidden prejudices to the other party • Immigrants in general feel they have been well accepted since arrival.
