  3. Tip #1 Change requires the proper mind-set

  4. Zechariah 10:2-3 “The idols speak deceit. Diviners see visions that lie, they tell dreams that are false. They give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd. My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; for the Lord Almighty will care for his flock, the house of Judah, And make them like a proud warhorse in battle.”

  5. Sheep are Dumb • Sheep are Defenseless • Sheep are Fearful • Sheep are Followers • Sheep are Dependent • War Horse is Intelligent • War Horse is a Defender • War Horse learns Courage • War Horse Leads the Attack • War Horse Is synchronized with his rider

  6. Tip #2 Know The Truth Colossians 2:14-15 “by cancelling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”

  8. Tip #3 Respond Appropriately to the Truth Ephesians 4:11-16 • Allow the leaders that God has placed within the church to equip and train you

  9. Engage in Ministry Service (vs.12) “Equip for the work of the ministry”

  10. Conclusion: • Enter 2014 with the mindset of becoming a Warhorse not remaining as a sheep. • Become that Warhorse through becoming Equipped (learning) and through practice (serving).
