Four-Year College Prep Credits • Academic Core: -English 4 -Math 3 -Science 3 -Social Studies 3 -Electives 4 Chosen from the above areas, foreign language, fine arts, computer science and other academic areas. Total College Prep Credits 17 (this is the minimum requirement!)
ACT/SAT • The ACT or SAT is required for college admission (ACT is preferred by Midwestern schools). • It is recommended that you take either test in the spring of your junior year (preparation is key). • Become familiar with the test content and format: The ACT includes 4 tests– English, Math, Reading, Science– and an optional Writing Test. • The Writing Test is currently required by UW-Madison, Marquette University and UM-Twin Cities. • Visit the ACT website at www.actstudent.org • Visit the SAT website at www.collegeboard.org
