Daytona Disaster By Aneil
Page 1 Boom! the sun hits me. As I spring up out of the car. I’m oh so blithesome this is an indoor karting track. Summers smoldering hot I thought as I squeezed the guts out of another fly. As I completed a forgettable long-winded form. My friends and I placed on our diverting hair nets. I felt nerves invade my body as if there was an alien invasion. My friends have experienced this before. They have experienced this before. Jeevan calamitously selected the expert kart. My other friends go with this irritating decision. If I select the expert kart turn to page 54 If I select the beginner kart 111
Page 54 Would you fancy expert or beginner kart? The young confident man asked. I nervously replied “I would like the expert kart”. The young man was explaining something. I couldn’t hear a thing, the engine was as loud as heavy metal concert. I pushed on one of the throttles and zoomed of at once. “Oh no” A corner approached I turned the steering wheel hoping for the best. Bang!! The sudden impact of the barrier unattached my seatbelt. Boom Bang Smack were the last sounds I heard. The End
Page 111 Feeling content with just a beginner kart. I steadily start beyond the group. Not overly worried of being humiliated. Push! I steadily pick up the pace. I hear something. Its coming closer and closer. No time to glance back. It’s a kart roaring like never before, heading directly towards me. If I turn right turn to page 99 If I turn left turn back to page 72
Page 99 I firmly grip the sterring-whell. Errh! The noise of Jeevans kart is roaring like never before. Three seconds I think to myself. Does that allow enough time for Jeevan to turn left. 2 seconds 1 second Ahh!!! The impact of Jeevans kart forces me into the barrier like a Suzuki swift up against a bulldozer. I viscously smack my head onto the sterring-whell. Did i mention I was in Christchurch. Everything shake, shake, shakes then it goes dark. The End
Page 72 I lose balance as I blaze left to give myself some time. I predict that I have 5 seconds before Jeevan and I ferociously collide. “slow down mum screams” in her worried voice as she places her hands over her mouth. “No”!! I yell I got so distracted I didn’t see the dead end!!! Ahh!!! I demolish the timber like wall. “Ahh” mum screams in shock. As I’m surrounded by a four meter perimeter pool of blood. The End
