  1. To insert your company logo on this slide • From the Insert Menu • Select “Picture” • Locate your logo file • Click OK • To resize the logo • Click anywhere inside the logo. The boxes that appear outside the logo are known as “resize handles.” • Use these to resize the object. • If you hold down the shift key before using the resize handles, you will maintain the proportions of the object you wish to resize.   4. DDE Dynamic Data Exchange • Improvement made in the Windows operating system environment • Useful for sending commands and data between applications • A connection is made between the source and destination applications at runtime

  5. OLEObject Linking and Embedding • Newer technology than DDE • Exchanges objects, not limited to data and commands • Better performance • Useful for creating compound documents • Choice of embedding or linking objects

  6. ActiveX • Newest sharing technology from Microsoft • Nnow refers to a wide range of communication techniques where an application makes its capabilities available to other applications • All Office 97 applications are ActiveX servers
