What is the Arc? • A nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with intellectual and other disabilities and their families • The Arc is devoted to promoting and improving support and services for people with intellectual disabilities while fostering education and research

  3. Independence. Empowerment.  Family Support. • The Arc of York county provides the following services… • Advocacy • Penn Employment Services • Summer Day Camp at Camp Pennwood • After School Options • Adult Recreation Club • Pennwood Adult Vacation Experience (PAVE) • Tobacco-Free Healthy Lives • York/Adams ISO for Agency Services

  4. The Arc’s vision… • The Arc envisions a day when our community recognizes the value of people with intellectual disabilities, makes equal opportunities available to them, and supports them in whatever manner is necessary for their full participation
