Young people and money? • 77% of young people are in debt by the time they're 21, a figure that rises to 85% amongst the homeless • 68% of 16 to 24-year-olds had been encouraged to take out credit they did not want or could not afford • 48% of 16 to 24-year-olds ranked debt as their biggest fear for the future • A quarter of 16 to 24-year-olds have suffered mental health problems because of their finances
