  1. Welcome In OnGraph Technology

  2. How IoT Has Disrupted Mobile Application Development? IoT with sensors and actuators has been helping industries for humidity and temperature monitoring over the years. However, with emerging technologies, the role of IoT has expanded that Google has presented Driver-less Cars in the market (though the vehicle is still in its testing phase).

  3. IoT is not hype anymore. IoT is real today. Your smartwatch or that health gear you wear is just a small example of IoT experience you are having every single minute. Ever gotten recommended shows similar to your personalized list on NetFlix or Amazon Prime Videos? All these activities are the very basic action of IoT! Though all the facts are accepted, including IoT Apps has changed how applications have been developed. Let’s shed some more light on such examples.

  4. 1. Smart Home A) WiFi enabled thermostat is one of the ideal examples of IoT and mobile app integration. Mobile app here plays the role of the remote and controls the thermostat which is the IoT endpoint. B) Mobile devices with applications are successfully working as sensors, and the digital operations are done like never before. This innovation now enables mobile app users to switch on or turn off AC (air conditioner) right away from any remote location. Perhaps smart homes are the most popular examples of IoT, but enterprises and developers have found it an effective solution for different use cases. For instance:

  5. Smart Hotel Rooms Hilton” – one of the world’s leading hotel chain, is eyeing on IoT to provide better travel and stay experiences to their customers. They are working on replacing card-based door keys with smartphone apps. Lighting and heating system control through mobile app are other focus areas for Hilton with IoT innovation.

  6. 3. Amazon Go: After successful establishment of its online store, this Giant now focusing on using IoT to back its retail stores. They are working on IoT based system where retail stores will no longer require cashiers or cash counters. Amazon is working on a breakthrough concept using online wallets, sensors and Amazon account. With this system, you can walk out from the store after shopping as IoT system will work for you like when you pick up a product from the shelf, the sensors immediately add the product to your cart. When you keep it back, it gets removed, and when you leave the store, the money will automatically be deducted from your Amazon Wallet. From consumer-based applications as simple as a wearable tech to those more complicated like driverless forklifts, IoT is everywhere. Here it’s important to understand that a user gets access to IoT features through their mobile devices.

  7. Mobile Devices: The Center of IoT World The concept of smart homes, smart cities, connected cars, connected machines and more will flourish over the period, but it’s mobile devices including smartphones, wearables and tablets are at the center of connected world facilitated by IoT. Mobile apps and devices are the point of an interface through which we will be able to interact with IoT. a. Apps and Sensors: Mobile devices, are already available with apps and sensors, offering minutes of information about the users. b. GPS and Allied Technology: GPS and other allied technology which are available on smartphones enable our devices to track light condition, the orientation of the device and a lot more data. c. Multiple Connectivity: Features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular and NFC available in smart devices enable them to communicate with each other.

  8. 3. More specialized and personalized app Development Mobile apps for IoT will perform some tasks such as Monitor, manage and control connected devices. IoT devices are going to be potentially vast number and variety of endpoints which should be connected and extracting data from each other. Due to this, developers and IoT App Development companies must brainstorm and develop more specialized apps offering personalized in-app experience. To wrap up, I can say this that the constant development in the internet of things, mobile applications lead to a better-connected world. It will be interesting to see how the Internet of Things would evolve in the next few years so does app development, but keeping a tab on emerging technologies will be crucial to stay in the competition.
