NCR 424 – TWR1 layerY0 ladder3 failure • Tower1 opened and closed in 2 days in order to remove tray17 (MID063) and replace it with MID027 (see NCR430) • Disassembly and reassembly went smooth but is a high risk operation • Solithane residuals evident after removal of tray17 (see pictures) • No evidence of the failure on tray17 from in-situ inspection • No evidence of failure on tray17 even after removal • Failure on bottom tray (NCR424)only showed once and never reappeared during TVAC • Very little chance that any evidence with additional info come from yet a further disassembly Residual solithane contaminant on MID063 after disinstallation from twr1 – similar contaminant could be trapped in between other trays on the tower
