Wine and Cheese Night • Event Time: Saturday March 26, 2011 7pm-11pm • Location: Raleigh City Museum • Located on Fayetteville St downtown • Theme: Around the World • Please see Josh Kellogg, Amanda Draut, or Sanja Cvitkusic for admission tickets ($10 for drinking, $5 for non-drinking) and raffle tickets ($2)

Sip to Save: A Wine & Cheese Raffle • Tickets are $2 each • The more you buy, the more chances to win! • You don’t have to come to Wine n Cheese to collect your price, though it’s more fun that way  • Prizes include… • Charcoal grill and Kingsford briquettes • Apple iPod Shuffle • Gift Certificates to Evolve Yoga Studios ($65) and Dick’s Sporting Goods ($25)

9. Hurricanes Game Wednesday, March 30th, 7:00pm Optional: Backyard Bistro @ 5:00pm for food and/or drinks. Cost: $15 per ticket. Money is due to Chad Jordan anytime before the game.

The Inaugural Food Science Club Scholarship • The Club Faculty Advisors will select an undergraduate and graduate winner • Requirements: Be in good standing with the club; Submit essay by April 4th • Essay: How have you aided in the success of the club this year? • Max: 1 page (12 font), include all roles and duties that you have done this year; please include current GPA

12. LUNCH N’ LEARN Program • Our biggest outreach event of the year • Professors and students will speak about food science • If you help out to make this event a success, you will be rewarded • You can help in many ways! • Free Lunch!! • April 5th, 12:00-1pm Room 105

13. Etchells’ Lecture • A renowned professor at NCSU and an expert in microbiology,  chemistry and processing of pickled vegetables • Larry Beuchat will lecture on “Microbiological safety of fresh produce” • 3:30pm on April 28th

14. Awards Banquet April 28th, 2011-Save the Date! If you’re on the committee, Respond Support your friends Free Food Fun

15. Help show off FBNS • Science Olympiad student will be taking a tour of our department • Need a few volunteers both undergrads and graduates • Won’t be a huge time commitment or burden • Friday, April 29th
