  1. Welcome to Theatre III Lopez Drama 2019-2020

  2. Expectations Theatre III course work is consistent with the rigorous academic expectations of Lopez Middle School and NEISD. Students are expected to manage reading, writing, memorizing and performing both in class and on their own throughout the year.

  3. Course Work This full-year, performance oriented course engages the student in advanced theatrical studies and provides numerous performance opportunities. Classroom activities include advanced acting techniques and character study, pantomime, play analysis, audition techniques, theatre history, elements of play production, and technical theatre.

  4. Serve, Lead, Inspire Theatre III is for experienced, mature, and dedicated performers! Enrollment in this class is a privilege for exceptional and motivated students; be sure you are prepared for the opportunities and challenges of this course!

  5. Daily Warm Up Composition books due no later than 8/26 for daily warm up “Thoughts On Theatre” T.O.T. *First & last name, class period

  6. Black Box & Stage Expectations *Be respectful of everyone and everything at all times. *Participate in every activity to the best of your ability. *Be prepared for class every day. *Retrieve your T.O.T book and be seated immediately to copy the daily warm up, return T.O.T. book to class crate when finished.

  7. NO FOOD, DRINK or GUM allowed in class or on stage EVER!!!!! *Clear water bottle with lid ok! 

  8. Be completely attentive for the duration of all performances. • Show appreciation for all performers with polite applause at the conclusion of a scene. • Be positive and constructive with all comments. • Be in your seat for teacher, not bell, dismissal at the end of each class. • Handle all classroom materials with care. • Use your personal belongings only unless you have specific permission from a classmate to use their things.

  9. LEAD ROLE You are the leaders of this department! You are expected to model the expectations of Lopez Drama so that others follow you to success! Your goals and the goals of this department will be achieved through your leadership, set that example proudly and properly with confidence and kindness!
