Image Height vs. Object Height • Purpose: Find the relationship between object height and image height Procedure: we varied the height of the object (changing the arrow) by a predetermined amount, and then tested the affect this had on the image height.
Object Height vs. Image Distance • Purpose: Find the relationship between object height and image distance Procedure: we varied the distance from the hole of the image projection, and then tested the affect this had on the image height.
The important stuff Hi∝Ho Hi∝1/Do Hi∝Di Thus, by principle of joint variation Hi αHodi/do Hi = k Ho*di/do Where K is dimension and equal to one. Thus, HiDo=HoDi
Multiple Pinholes/Enlarging the pinhole Multiple pinholes? Enlarging the pinhole?
Enlarging the pinhole: Makes the image blurrier and brighter. Multiple pinholes: Produces a another image on the screen for each pinhole
Our conclusions: The Ray model Because the fact that the image pictures flipped, we hypothesized that light rays move in straight lines. When we tried this model….
