  4. Pull The force that makes something move towards you. Push The force that makes something move away from you.

  6. Friction The rubbing force of one object against another. It causes moving objects to slow down.

  10. Lever A bar that moves on a fixed point, like a balance. It is a machine that makes life easier.

  11. Inclined Plane A sloping surface used to move heavy loads up or down, like a ramp. It is a machine that makes work easier.

  12. MAGNET • Piece of iron or steel that attracts, or pulls, other objects made of iron and steel

  13. GRAVITY • Force that pulls things toward the center of Earth
