Positive Wellbeing Group Resilience definition: Resilience describes a person’s capacity to cope with changes and challenges and to bounce back during difficult times. The more resilient someone is, the better they are at getting through tough times, and the better their chances at recovering from experiences of adversity and trauma. Today’s Top Tip! All Year Groups Easter School Reminder All S4-6 pupils who wish to attend Easter School please remember to hand the tear off slip to your tutor teacher today or tomorrow at the latest! Classes will only run if there are enough pupils signing up to them. Modern Languages Trip The Modern Languages Department are planning a trip to Normandy in France in June 2016. S5/6 Career Advisor Could the following pupils please register at tutor time then make their way to the CARE room (2nd floor) to collect an appointment card for today’s career appointments: Civil Engineering Funding Support The ICE are awarding funding grants to young people who are enrolling in college/university after the summer holidays to study Civil Engineering. If successful you will receive £5000 each year you study. The award is open to full-time or part-time students as well as apprentices or those studying on release from an employer. S5/6 Financial Sector Work Experience Opportunity Hymans Robertson – Pensions , Investments and Risk experts We have been approached by Hymans Robertson, they are running a week long work experience programme in their Glasgow office, giving Young People who are interested in the financial services industry an opportunity to gain insight into how their organisation operates. They are currently inviting S5-S6 to apply for the programme which will run from Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July in Hymans Robertson Glasgow office, 20 Waterloo Street Please see Pastoral Care for more information.
