How to View and Edit Chemo Preorders | Guide and Access Steps

1. How to View Chemo Preorders Step 1. Sign onto starpanel An Alert will appear if you have preorders to review Click OK . The cancer dashboard with orders you need to approve displays Preorder Status Red= Chemo orders pending Attending approval Gray= orders that have been deleted( will not be using them) Yellow= non chemo orders awaiting play back +/or Attending approved chemo orders awaiting play back Green = Chemo or Non chemo orders that have been played back Step 2. Note status of orders. Click the RED box to review orders for that patient. Orders will displayed in the frame below Step 3. Review orders on line or print the preorders report. Orders can NOT BE EDITED from the preorder report screen.

2. Step 4. Click action in the dashboard How to Edit/ Approve Chemo Orders Step 5. Click WIZ ManagePreto launch preorders in the frame below Step 6. Click EDIT Step 7. the date and time for chemo will display in the left window. Verify the date/ time is correct and press enter and then enter again. Review Orders and edit prn Step 8. Click done. Step 9. Click Save Signed Preorders. This will may the orders will be ready for playback by nursing staff. It will take approx 5min for the status indicator on the dashboard to turn to Yellow

3. 2 Ways to Access Chemo Preorders from Off Campus 1. Set up VPN and remote into your administrative workstation. Since you are remoted into your administrative workstation all the systems think you are on site so a secure token in NOT needed. To get set up to VPN you must request a VPN account from the NCS web site https://ncs.mc.vanderbilt.edu/ is the URL and then set your home computer up for VPN. The directions to do this are on the NCS web site.  To VPN you will need your IP address of your administrative workstations and your administrative workstation will have to be on. 2. Launch VPN from your home computer and use a secure Token to access Starpanel Then access the Cancer Dashbaord to launch Manage Preorders.  From the Starpanel Sign on Page… click here to log in using secure ID From the screen below you can: log on, request a securID token or view tutorials re: how to use the token. A SecurID Token is an electronic device that generates dynamic passwords which can be used instead of your regular Starpanel password when accessing StarPanel remotely. You will continue to use your regular password to access StarPanel from the VUMC campus, but you will use your SecurID Token to generate a password whenever you wish to access from a remote site. There is a $75 charge for the token and your department must submit a request for you to obtain a token.

4. One Time Set up Of Adding Preorders To Starpanel Action Menu Step 1. Click Action in the dashboard Look for Wiz ManagePre. Step 2. Click Customize Step 3. Click Wiz Manage Pre. Text color will change from gray to Blue Step 4. Click Install New Action Button.Wiz ManagePre should now be on your action menu.
