  3. Utopia • The painting uses bright colors to promote a happy theme. It also shows a peaceful setting where there is no fighting. • The painting was most likely made a long time ago to go with the movie or book series. • The painting shows elements from the movie The Wizard of Oz including the Emerald City in the background which is green representing happiness. There is also a balloon which is flying, that may represent freedom. • The artist purpose was most likely to illustrate the stories of Oz but to know exactly what his purpose was you would have to hear it from the artist himself. • The artist may want to prortry a would he wishes to live in and creat.

  4. I Just Can’t Be Happy TodayBy: Christopher Lem

  5. Dystopia • It artist used black and white to promote kind of an angry or scary theme. The painting also shows lightning striking the houses and a man falling from the sky. • The painting seems to have been made recently but I could not find when. • The mood is angry or frightening because the lightning which would represent anger and the dark and mysterious buildings that would represent fear. • The artists purpose was probably to get out his anger on canvas, but to know exactly why you would have to know what the artist was going through or his thoughts at the time this was painted. • The artist may want to create a world that they believe the human society is headed to if they do not simply change their ways.
