Hazardous substances – hydrogen sulphide • Colourless gas, very toxic by inhalation, extremely flammable, acidic • Smell of rotten eggs at low concentrations (from 0.015 ppm) • Hygienic limit 10 ppm (8 hour) and 15 ppm (15 min) • Alarms in the process area • Attention (H2S-concentration 10 ppm), flashing red or yellow lights • Evacuation (H2S-concentration 90 ppm): rapidly intermittent sound alarm NOTE alarm is tested every weekday at 9 am HSE NHN, Maria Fröberg, Refinery Nynashamn HSE Group
