If you woke up this morning with more health than illness… …you are more blessed than the millions who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 900 million people in the world.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.
Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse. —Henry Van Dyke (1852-1933)
The Power of Praise The Power of Praise is the highest form of communion with God, & one that always releases a great deal of power into our lives. The very act of praise releases the power of God into a set of circumstances & enables God to change them if this is His design. Very often it is our attitudes that hinder the solution of a problem. God is sovereign & could certainly cut across our wrong thought patterns & attitudes. But His perfect plan is to bring each of us into fellowship & communion with Him, so He allows circumstances which will bring our wrong attitudes to our attention. Praise is the hand of Faith that flips the switch & turns the light on! Negative thoughts can’t penetrate the joy of someone who is praising the Lord no matter what the circumstances. Praising Him is not something we do because we feel good; it’s an act of obedience! Praise will keep you through any tempest & storm!
