4. Let your child pick a project from something he/she enjoys. If your child likes what he’s studying then a much better project will be produced. 9. Make sure you check the experiment for any safety precautions that should be followed. Ask yourself, “What special precautions do we need to take in following the procedure to do this experiment?” For example, if a sharp utensil must be used, make sure the adult uses the utensil or if the eyes need to be protected, then the child should wear goggles. 14. After collecting the data, the child should look at the information to see what can be learned from the data. The graph is usually the best place to analyze the data.
