Global PR topics agreed - 1 • Dengue fever collaboration • Organised a workshop at APAN meeting January 2014. Objectives: • provide forum for clinicians & researchers to share experiences • raise awareness of R&E networks and how they facilitate medical collaborations • explore how else R&E networking can help • added value of NRENs in helping build a community! • Plans to further build on / report on this topic area • Follow-up workshop planned and option explored with other Global PR Network members to export workshop model to other regions (incl Europe) – • Expand approach to other global diseases and ‘fringe’ user communities 12 June 2014, Trinidad & Tobago – Dengue Fever Workshop in the Caribbean

Global PR topics agreed - 3 • Global NREN boilerplate • explain interconnectedness of NRENs across the world • need to agree how to use it. • NREN NAME HERE is an active member the global community of National Research & Education Networks (NRENs) that power and support collaborative, cutting-edge, data-intensive research and education. This “network of networks” connects researchers, teachers, students and innovators from the four corners of the world to one another, and to the data, software, equipment and hardware at the forefront of digital discovery.
