  2. Handmade carpets and rugs are very expensive home décor item. Using a handmade area rug is not a big deal but maintaining it for a long time is difficult. So, if you are using a handmade rug in your home then read the below tips to avoid the common mistake-

  3. Place according to the traffic: Handmade wool area rug and handknotted silk rug is ideal for indoor. Always put a wool carpet in a high traffic area and use silk area rug for the low traffic area.

  4. Furniture Management: Most of the people love to put their furniture on the carpet. Yes, you can do it with handmade wool area rug but if you have a silk carpet then avoid putting the furniture on it. Put your rug between the furniture and furniture should be offset because silk rug is an expensive and the hidden or below the leg of furniture may destroy.

  5. Never Scrub it with a hard brush: We like to clean spots using hard brush or scrubbing method but keep this in mind that you can destroy the beauty of your carpet using this method.
