2. Daniel 8: The Vision • Dan 8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward and northward and southward; so that no beasts could stand before him, nor any that could deliver out of his hand. But he did according to his will, and became great.

3. Daniel 8: The Vision • Dan 8:5 … a he-goatcame from the west, over the face of the all earth, and did not touch the ground (=very fast). And the he goat hadan outstanding horn between his eyes. • Dan 8:6 And he came to the ram that had two horns….ran to him in the fury of his power. • Dan 8:7 … struck the ram and shattered his two horns.

4. Daniel 8: The Vision • Dan 8:8 Then the he-goat became very great. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken. And in its place came up four outstanding ones towards the four winds of the heavens.

Timing of Daniel 8’s vision • Dan 8:15 And it happened when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me the form of a man. • Dan 8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called and said, Gabriel, make this one understand the vision. • Dan 8:17 So he came near beside my place. And when he came, I was afraid and fell on my face. But he said to me, Understand, O son of man, for the vision is for the time of the end.

6. Timing of Daniel 8’s vision • Daniel 8 is a vision on the End Time • However, to give us the context to understand the vision, not every part of the vision is about the End Time… • We must find out which part is related to the End Time ourselves – use History to unravel the vision !

Why the Little Horn is the Madhi: Origin • The “fierce king” is symbolized by the “little horn”: • Dan 8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which became very great, toward the south and toward the east and toward the bountiful land. • The bountiful land is the Land of the People of God; Israel ! • Daniel 8 tells us where he will originate !

Why the Mahdi fulfills the prophecy: acts • Dan 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself, even to the ruler of the host • The Mahdi means the ‘righteously guided one’ • He is Allah’s representative on earth • What he says is what Allah says – he is like a god • Dan 8:24 He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. • 'at your treasure (caliphate) three persons would quarrel, all of them would be sons of the Khalifa. But none of them would succeed in acquiring it. Afterwards black flags would appear and they would kill you so that no other race would have been killed in that manner. After that the Khalifa of AllahAS, MahdiAS, would appear. When you hear about him go to him, make covenant (Ba'ith) with him, even if you had to go crawling over the snow.'

What will the Mahdi do • Mat 24:15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand). • Mat 24:16 Then let those in Judeaflee into the mountains. • Mat 24:17 Let him on the housetopnot come down to take anything out of his house; • Mat 24:18 nor let him in the field turn back to take his clothes. • Mat 24:19 And woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days! • Mat 24:20 But pray that your flight is not in the winter, nor on the sabbath day;

What will the Mahdi do • 2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, my brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, • 2Th 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand. • 2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition, • 2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.

24. How long will it last ? • Dan 8:13 …”Until when shall the vision last, concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression that astounds, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled? • Dan 8:14 And he said to me, For two thousand, three hundred evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be vindicated. Host trampled (persecution: worship him or die !) Sanctuary vindicated Daily sacrifices abolished 1150 days = 3 yrs + 55 days Jesus returns ??? Declare himself as God (transgression that astounds ?)
