Michael Vick and his dog fighting crimes By: Patrick McDonough
Michael Vick Shouldn’t Be Able To Play • He admitted he was involved in a dogfighting ring • He received very little punishment from the NFL • He is a role model for kids, current players, and future players • By letting him play your discouraging kids from playing in the NFL
He admitted he was involved in a dog fighting ring • Multiple innocent dogs were killed • He was convicted of a felony crime • He served 21 months in prison and 2 months in home confinement
He received very little punishment from the NFL • Roger Goodell suspended him for 2 games of the regular season • Most professions, if you committed a felony you wouldn’t be able to return
He is a role model for kids, current players, and future players • Almost every one knows him, in and out of the NFL • By not suspending him, Roger is saying that a player can commit any crime and still play • Also, he is saying you can commit any crime and still come into the NFL
The Policy • I would like for the NFL to create a new policy • It will have the NFL ban anyone who commits a felony crime
You should do as I say • Roger Goodell should do as I say because letting those kind of people play may discourage a lot of people • I would really like to play for the NFL, but if Roger keeps letting people like this in, I might change my mind
