OBJECTIVE • To give a general overview of the BCH Management Centre • To describe the main functionality of the BCH Management Centre • To show how to navigate around the BCH Management Centre
Overview • Different User Types • 3 main areas in the Management Centre: • Management Centre Home • Manage Your Information • Register New Information
BCH User Types • National Focal Point (NFP) • Can add / edit / delete records • Can approve records for publishing in the BCH (to make the records publicly accessible) • National Authorised Users (NAU) • Can add / edit / delete records • Cannot publish • Must forward records to the NFP for approval and publishing
Management Centre Home (3) • For NAUs : Shows records that only the NAU has added and which are either still being edited, or which have been submitted for approval to the NFP. • For NFPs : Shows records that only the NFP has added, and also shows all records which have been submitted by NAUs for approval.
Management Centre Home (4) Manage your Information Register New Information View Approval Requests – NFPs only View your Draft Documents
Manage Your Information (2) • For managing country records which have previously been published to the BCH • NAUs and NFPs see the same information – no difference • Allows NAUs and NFPs to edit or unpublish previously published records • But all changes (edits & deletions) must still be approved by the NFP
Manage Your Information (3) Summary of Published Records for your country View Published Records View Requests made to the NFP regarding previously published records
Register New Information (2) • Allows a NAU or a NFP to add new records to the BCH • New records can be: • saved for editing later • published • But all records submitted for publishing by a NAU must be approved by the NFP before they will be finally published on the BCH • NFP can publish records directly

Register New Information (4) Press Create to add the selected record type 18 different types of records to create
Add New Record (simple example) 1 Press “Save Changes” to save record and/or submit for publishing Country is fixed. Cannot be changed Add details
Add New Record (simple example) 2 Press “Submit for Publishing” to submit record for NFP approval prior to final publishing on the BCH Press “Save as Draft” to save the record without submitting it to the NFP for publication
NFP: Approve New Record (1) NFP can view all records which have been submitted for publishing by NAUs.
NFP: Approve New Record (2) NFP can request the NAU to make changes to the record before they resubmit it for publication NFP can approve the request and publish the record on the live BCH site NFP can Cancel the Request
Summary • Can manage records for your country only • Two types of users: • National Authorised Users (NAUs) • National Focal Points (NFPs) • Management Centre allows a user to: • View / edit / delete records that the user has added themselves • Add new records • Submit records for publishing • Change or Remove previously published records • NFP only : Approve records for final publishing to the BCH
