Solar power. We have used solar power for thousands of years. We use the sun for drying clothes or making salt or other things. Solar power comes from the Sun. Sun’s energy. Just a tiny fraction of the sun’s energy that hits the Earth is enough to meet all our power needs many times over.

disadvantages • Sunlight is all over the place so you’ll need lots and lots of panels to make a useful amount of energy. • Only areas of the world with lots of sunlight are suitable for solar power generation.
disadvantages • It cost lots and lots and lots of money when you are putting them up
advantages • There is a reallyreally good thing about solar power - it doesn't harm the atmosphere
advantages • when they’re up they cost nothing, you barely need to look at them and they will last • Solar power is renewable - it can’t run out unless the sun blows up
Is it the answer? It’s pretty unlikely that solar power is going to be the answer but you can have a little bit of lots of things. Solar power is often an excellent extra to use with other renewable sources
